INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS
Thanks to the business agreement signed with a major northern European industrial group, discussions on organizational directions related to the topic of environmental sustainability were opened.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT
RR is among the first Italian manufacturing companies to include green indoor and outdoor areas to give a tangible sign of environmental sensitivity to its employees and customers.
1980
USED BATTERY COLLECTION
RR signed an agreement with WWF (World Wildlife Fund) on the collection of used batteries in the Reggio Emilia area.
1985
PLASTIC FREE DRINKING WATER
Drinking water fountains were installed in production departments to reduce glass bottles and cans.
1990
SUPPORT FOR WILDLIFE OASES
RR supported local LIPU (Italian League for the Protection of Birds) wildlife oases for the protection of birds of prey, rare birds and the creation of educational sites.
1995
SAFEGUARDING SMALL WILDLIFE
RR supported a campaign in the territory for the rescue and preservation of small wild animals.

WASTE
Pre-sorted waste collection was encouraged at production sites and offices with the placement of special bins.
2012
PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM
Installation on the roof of the main production site in San Polo d’Enza (RE) of a 240kW photovoltaic system dedicated to self-generation of electricity.
2013
“PAPERLESS” PROJECT
RR started a project aiming to digitize documents and reduce paper consumption as a result.
2015
ENERGY LIGHT EFFICIENCY
At production sites and offices, traditional lighting systems were being replaced with LED lighting, bringing them up to the latest European standards. An operation that had been completed in 5 years.
2016
CARE FOR THE LOCAL TERRITORY
Agreement with the municipal administration of San Polo d’Enza for a contribution to the Reclamation of the former racetrack area in the town. A long-deteriorated and abandoned place returned to citizens thanks to the support of RR.
2017
PLASTIC REDUCTION
Water bottles distributed in the company were made of 50% recycled plastic. The cups dispensed for hot drinks were made of 100% recyclable material.
2018
GREEN LUBRICATION
RR chose to use white lubrication oils of natural origin for production processes, which had less environmental impact than synthetic oils.
2019
ENERGY DATA ANALYSIS
A project for continuous analysis of the corporate electrical consumption aimed at the efficiency of facilities and their utilization.
2020
AIR CONDITIONING
Installation at production sites of an adiabatic cooling system, which is preferred to traditional air conditioning systems because of its limited electricity consumption.
2021
ELECTRICITY SUPPLY
For the portion of electricity not self-generated by solar power, RR has been using 100% certified energy from renewable sources.
2022
REDUCTION OF PLASTIC CONSUMPTION
Free drinking water dispensers have been activated in the company, and each employee has been provided with a water bottle and coffee cup, so as to drastically cut down the use of plastic.
